Migrastatin is a natural compound isolated from the culture fluid of actinomycetes and was first reported in 2000 ¹⁾. Several papers and patents have been published on its mechanism of action and its analogues.

- SW480 (human colon) IC₅₀ = 30 μg/ml
Migrastatin analogues have also been studied and reported to inhibit cancer metastasis. ³⁾
