- Benastatin B has activity against Gram-positive bacteria including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).1)
- It was more potent than benastatin A against Micrococcus luteus (MIC=3.9 μM).3)
- In rat basophilic leukemia-derived RBL-2H3 cells, which is an evaluation model for inhibition of immediate-type allergic hypersensitivity reactions, benastatin B inhibited IgE-stimulated β-hexosaminidase release more strongly than benastatin A (IC50=19 μM).3)
* Biological activity of the product was not verified. The values shown above were cited from the references.
