These are chondroitin sulfate (CS) and unsulfated chondroitin oligosaccharides (n-mers) highly purified based on their degree of polymerization (dp). They are suitable for a wide range of applications, including biochemical assays, cell-based studies, and in vivo administration to small animals.

What is Chondroitin Sulfate
Chondroitin sulfate is a high-molecular-weight substance with a molecular weight in the hundreds of thousands, composed of repeating disaccharide units of glucuronic acid and sulfated N-acetylgalactosamine. As an acidic glycosaminoglycan found ubiquitously in living organisms, it exhibits a remarkably wide range of physiological activities. However, due to its immense structural diversity, the lack of adequate materials to serve as research probes has been a significant bottleneck in research and development.
What is Chondroitin Sulfate Oligosaccharide (n-mer)
Chondroitin sulfate oligosaccharides (n-mers) are highly purified products categorized by their degree of polymerization (dp). These oligosaccharides are produced from chondroitin sulfate fractions, which are extracted from skate or porcine cartilage via protease digestion and purified by ultrafiltration. The fractions are then processed into an oligosaccharide mixture (ranging from 2-mer to 20-mer) using our proprietary non-enzymatic microchemical technology. Finally, each specific n-mer is isolated and purified through a combination of ultrafiltration, gel filtration chromatography, and anion-exchange chromatography.

Features
- Ideal for various biochemical tests, cell tests, and administration tests on small animals
- Chondroitin sulfate oligosaccharides range from 2-mers to 12-mers, including odd-numbered chains. We also offer products with a high content of Chondroitin Sulfate A (CS-A rich)*1.
*1 CS-A rich series is derived from pig cartilage. - Unsulfated chondroitin oligosaccharides are available in odd-numbered chains ranging from 5-mers to 11-mers.
- For odd-numbered oligosaccharides, we offer two structural types: the "UU-type," which has D-glucuronic acid at both terminals, and the "GG-type," which has N-acetyl-D-galactosamine at both terminals.
- They have a saturated structure, with no double bond between the C4 and C5 positions at the non-reducing end.
- Highly soluble in water.
- Purity is tested by HPLC and molecular weight is measured by LC-MS.
- In HPLC analysis, it can be detected by absorption at a wavelength of 210 nm.
