R&D Systems ffers a human Thrombomodulin/CD141 Quantikine ELISA Kit (#DTHBD0). Thrombomodulin, also known as CD141, is an endothelial-specific, type I cell surface receptor that negatively regulates blood coagulation and fibrinolysis when bound by active Thrombin. In addition, Thrombomodulin is involved in mediating inflammation, cell proliferation, and cell adhesion. Increased serum levels of are associated with human diseases including atherosclerosis, liver cirrhosis, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, and cerebral and myocardial infarction. The human Thrombomodulin Quantikine ELISA Kit can be used to assess the levels of Thrombomodulin/CD141 in cell culture supernatant, cell lysate, serum, plasma, and urine.

Aliquots of cell lysate from human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC), MG-63 human osteosarcoma cells, and U-87M human glioblastoma/astrocytoma cells were assayed using the human Thrombomodulin/CD141 Quantikine ELISA Kit (#DTHBD0).
