Product Summary
The Quantikine Human BAFF/BLyS Immunoassay is a 4.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed to measure human BAFF/BLyS in cell culture supernates, serum, and plasma. It contains NS0-expressed recombinant human BAFF/BLyS and has been shown to accurately quantitate the recombinant factor. Results obtained using natural human BAFF/BLyS showed linear curves that were parallel to the standard curves obtained using the Quantikine kit standards. These results indicate that this kit can be used to determine relative mass values for naturally occurring human BAFF.

- BAFF/BLyS/TNFSF13B
- BAFF (B cell activating factor), also known as BlyS (B lymphocyte stimulator) and TALL-1 (TNF- and APOL-related leukocyte expressed ligand 1) is a member of the TNF superfamily designated TNFSF13B. BAFF is expressed by monocytes and dendritic cells in the form of a membrane-anchored homotrimer which may be shed from the cell surface by Furin. BAFF binds BAFF R/TNFRSF13C, BCMA/TNFRSF17 and TACI/TNFRSF13B receptors to regulate B cell homeostasis.
