HFDM™-1 medium is a fully synthetic culture medium for Normal Human Dermal Fibroblasts (NHDF), which enables serum-free culture while maintaining the same cell proliferation capacity as serum-containing culture medium. A small amount of human serum can also be added to promote cell proliferation.

Features
- Do not require the addition of cell adhesion factors, so it can be cultured on normal cell cultureware.
- Completely synthetic medium based on RITC80-7 medium.
- Proteins contained in this medium are all recombinant proteins.
- No animal-derived ingredients (serum proteins, etc.).
- Serum-free culture is possible, but the addition of a little (0.5-2.0%) human serum further enhances the cell proliferation effect (see Example of Use).
- Osmotic pressure: 290-310 mOsm/kg H2O
- Filter sterilized.
- Endotoxin tested.
- pH: 7.2-7.6
- Suitable for growth culture of normal human fibroblasts (HF).
- Contains all the ingredients necessary to maintain the growth and function of normal human fibroblasts.
Composition
HFDM-1 medium contains basic culture ingredients such as inorganic salts, amino acids, vitamins, nucleic acids, trace elements and carbohydrates, as well as cell growth factors such as recombinant human insulin and recombinant human epidermal growth factor (EGF) in a composition optimized for HF growth.

Example of Use
Left: NHDF cell growth
