Examples of physiological activities and effects
- OCDS acted as a D-alanine derivative and inhibited peptidoglycan synthesis.1)
- The combination of OCDS and D-4-amino-3-isoxazolidone induced a synergistic antibacterial effect. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of OCDS was 100 ug/ml and that of D-4-amino-3-isoxazolidone was 10ug/ml. In addition, the MIC of OCDS in synthetic media was 1.25 ug/ml.3)
- In an intra-abdominal infection model of Staphylococcus aureus in mice, 3 sets of hypodermic injections with 0.5g/kg of OCDS exhibited 30% survival rate after a week of the administration, which was approximately 3 times higher than the untreated control experiments.3)
* Biological activity of the product was not verified. The values shown above were cited from the references.
