Thienodolin was isolated from the fermentation broth of Streptomyces albogriseolus¹⁾ and was determined its structure by an X-ray analysis²⁾. The bioactive compound showed growth promoting activity to rice seedlings at 1.2×10^-6 ~ 1.2×10^-5 M but inhibited the growth at 4.0×10^-5 M¹⁾. It was also reported that the compound suppressed nitric oxide (NO) production stimulated by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) in a concentration dependent manner³⁾.

Thienodolin showed growth promoting activity to rice seedlings at t 1.2×10^-6 ~ 1.2×10^-5 M¹⁾.
The bioactive compound suppressed nitric oxide (NO, which is actually formed as nitrite) production stimulated by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) in a concentration dependent manner.³⁾
