Oudenone was isolated from fermentation broth of Oudemansiella radicata (also known as Hymenopellis radicata) as an inhibitor of tyrosine hydroxylase (IC₅₀: 1.1ｘ10^-4 M).^{1, 2)}
It also inhibited phenylalanine hydroxylase (IC₅₀: 2.3×10^-3 M)³⁾ and showed strong hypotensive effect.¹⁾

Application Note

It was reported that this compound inhibited tyrosine hydroxylase (IC₅₀: 1.1ｘ10^-4 M) and phenylalanine hydroxylase (IC₅₀: 2.3ｘ10^-3 M).
This compound also indicated strong hypotensive effect.
