Recombinant Human Serum Albumin (HSA) is produced in the endosperm of rice (Oryza sativa).
Because it is produced in plants, it does not contain animal-derived components, and there is no risk of viral or prion contamination.

Features

It can be used as a substitute for human and animal-derived albumin in various applications such as cell culture, cell preservation, and vaccine research.
Like natural HSA, it can be used as a medium additive.
It protects cells from fatty acids and toxic components, stabilizes cell membranes, and maintains osmotic pressure to improve cell culture conditions.
It is expressed as HSA full-length protein and has the same molecular weight and isoelectric point (pI) as natural HSA. There is also no glycosylation.
It shows stable activity with no difference between lots.
Purity: ≧99.0% (Reverse phase HPLC, SDS-PAGE)

How To Use

Prepare a 100 mg/ml stock solution of IBUKI (1.0 g) in PBS (10 ml).
The stock solution is filter sterilized (0.22 μm) and stored at -20°C.
Prepare the stock solution in medium or PBS to the desired concentration.
