Confocal immunofluorescence analysis (Olympus FV10i) of paraformaldehyde-fixed U2OS, using Survivin(GTX100052) antibody (Geen) at 1:500 dilution. Alpha-tubulin filaments were labeled with GTX11304 (Red) at 1:2000.
Survivin antibody detects Survivin protein at nucleus by immunofluorescent analysis.Sample: HeLa cells were fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde at RT for 15 min.Green: Survivin protein stained by Survivin antibody (GTX100052) diluted at 1:500.Red: alpha Tubulin, a cytoskeleton marker, stained by alpha Tubulin antibody [GT114] (GTX628802) diluted at 1:1000.Blue: Hoechst 33342 staining.
Survivin antibody detects Survivin protein by western blot analysis. A. 30 μg 293T whole cell lysate/extract B. 30 μg HeLa whole cell lysate/extract 12% SDS-PAGE Survivin antibody (GTX100052) dilution: 1:1000 The HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG antibody (GTX213110-01) was used to detect the primary antibody.

Background Survivin, also called baculoviral inhibitor of apoptosis repeat-containing 5 or BIRC5, is a protein that, in humans, is encoded by the BIRC5 gene.This gene is a member of the inhibitor of apoptosis (IAP) gene family, which encode negative regulatory proteins that prevent apoptotic cell death. IAP family members usually contain multiple baculovirus IAP repeat (BIR) domains, but this gene encodes proteins with only a single BIR domain. The encoded proteins also lack a C-terminus RING finger domain. Gene expression is high during fetal development and in most tumors yet low in adult tissues. Antisense transcripts are involved in the regulation of this gene's expression. At least four transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been found for this gene, but the full-length natures of only three of them have been determined. [provided by RefSeq]
