	ELISA was performed using a serial dilution of Histone H4K5acK8acK12acK16ac (acetyl Lys5, Lys8, Lys12, Lys16) antibody in antigen coated wells. By plotting the absorbance against the antibody dilution, the titer of the antibody was estimated to be 1:21,200.
	ChIP was performed with HeLa nuclear extract and either 2 μg of H4K5,8,12,16ac antibody or control rabbit IgG. The precipitated DNA was detected by QPCR with primer set targeting to EIF4A2 promoter or Sat2.
	ICC/IF analysis of NIH3T3 cells using H4K5acK8acK12acK16ac antibody and DAPI. Cells were fixed with 4% formaldehyde for 10’ and blocked with PBS/TX-100 containing 5% normal goat serum and 1% BSA. The cells were immunofluorescently labeled with H4K5acK8acK12acK16ac antibody at a dilution of 1:500 (green). The nuclei were stained with DAPI (blue).
	Dot blot analysis of peptides containing other histone modifications and the unmodified H4 using H4K5acK8acK12acK16ac antibody at a dilution of 1:20,000. One hundred to 0.2 pmol of the respective peptides were spotted on a membrane for analysis.
