HIF-2 alpha is stabilized under hypoxic conditions and binds to hypoxia response elements (HRE) present in the promotors of genes involved in adapting to conditions of low oxygen. When HIF-2 alpha is dysregulated, it may contribute to cancer progression. The new HIF-2 alpha/EPAS1 DuoSet IC ELISA Kit contains the basic components required for the development of ELISAs to measure HIF-2 alpha/EPAS1 in cell lysates, including capture antibody, conjugated detection antibody, standard, and streptavidin-HRP.
Product Features:
- Optimized antibody pairings and a recommended protocol saves lengthy development time
- Available in 2, 5, and 15- (96-well) plate pack sizes
- Exhibits no detectable cross-reactivity with HIF-1 alpha
HIF-2 alpha Induction Measured Using ELISA and Western Blot. The 786-O human renal adenocarcinoma cell line and the HepG2 human hepatocellular carcinoma cell line were untreated or treated with 150 uM of the hypoxia mimetic CoCl2 for 18 hours. The levels of HIF-2 alpha present in lysates were quantified with the Human/Rat Total HIF-2 alpha/EPAS1 DuoSet IC ELISA Development Kit (Catalog # DYC2997). The ELISA results compare well with those obtained by Western blot using the same lysates (inset).
