R&D Systems now offers a Human/Mouse/Rat Phospho-c-Jun (S63) Cell-Based ELISA (Catalog # KCB7499 ). c-Jun is one of three Jun family proteins that comprise the activator protein-1 (AP-1) transcription factor group. It acts as a positive regulator of cell proliferation and can induce oncogenic transformation. The Phospho-c-Jun Cell-Based ELISA is a fluorescence-based assay that simultaneously measures phosphorylated c-Jun (S63) and total c-Jun in whole, fixed cells, eliminating the need for lysate preparation. Measurement of the phosphorylated and total proteins in the same microplate well allows for the normalization of well to well variation in cell number.

Human/Mouse/Rat Phospho-c-Jun (S63) Cell-Based ELISA

Simultaneous Measurement of Phosphorylated and Total c-Jun in HeLa Cells. The HeLa human epithelial cervical carcinoma cell line was untreated or treated with Anisomycin (Catalog # 1290), an inducer of stress-activated kinases. After fixation and permeabilization, phospho-c-Jun (S63) levels were determined and normalized to total c-Jun in the same wells using the Human/Mouse/Rat Phospho-c-Jun (S63) Cell-Based ELISA Kit (Catalog # KCB7499). Pretreatment of the cells with AEG 3482 (Catalog # 2651 ), a suppressor of JNK signaling pathways, inhibited c-Jun (S63) phosphorylation in a dose-dependent manner. Values represent mean ± range of duplicate determinations.
