Background
Neurokinin 1 receptor (NK1R) is a Gq-coupled receptor multi-pass membrane protein localized in cell membranes of a variety of cells including CNS/PNS neurons, immune cells, endocrine and exocrine glands, smooth muscle cells etc. NK1R is an endogenous receptor for substance P (neuropeptide that belongs to tachykinin neuropeptide family), is a highly conserved receptor which binds high affinity ligands, including SP, and SP-like hemokinin and endokinin peptides. NK1R couples to a subgroup of G-proteins, Gq/11 and interacts with ARRB1 also. NK1R- SP interactions leads to activation of phospholipase CB (PLCB), and results in a transient increase in intracellular inositol 1,4,5 triphosphate (IP3) diacyl-glycerol and increased cytosolic Ca2+concentration. This interaction is involved in pain transmission, vasodilatation, connective-tissue cell proliferation, neuroimmune modulation and exocrine (e.g. sialogogue) as well as endocrine secretions.カートに商品を
