製品説明
IDO catalyzes the first and rate-limiting step in the main pathway of human tryptophan catabolism, the kynurenine pathway. Proinflammatory mediators, such as endotoxin and IFN-γ induce the expression of IDO in several tissues. IDO-dependent suppression of T-cell responses might function as natural immunoregulatory mechanism. Physiological IDO activity has been implicated in T-cell tolerance to tumors, dysfunctional selftolerance in non-obese diabetic (NOD) mice, and as a protective negative regulator in autoimmune disorders.

LPS induction of IDO in THP-1 cells: To examine the ability of induction of IDO with LPS, reactions were carried out at 37°C over 8, 16, 20, 24, 32, 40, 48hrs, respectively by adding LPS (1μg/ml) to THP-1 cells, which were not maintained with serum starvation. LPS in lanes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 were subjected to LPS-responsive THP-1 cell treatments over 8, 16, 20, 24, 32, 40, 48hrs, respectively. Lane 1 was not treated with LPS.
