Human VGF is synthesized as a 615 amino acid (aa) precursor that contains a 22 aa signal sequence and a 593 aa mature chain. The region including aa 353-447 is Asp/Glu-rich and thus an acidic region. Human VGF shares 87% aa sequence identity to mouse VGF. |
