CF(Carrier-Free)とは？

R&D Systems社組換え体タンパク質製品では通常ウシ血清アルブミン(BSA)をキャリアタンパク質として加えています。キャリアタンパク質を加えることで組換え体タンパク質の安定性が高まり、使用期限が長くなります。また、より濃度の低い溶液での保管も可能となります。CF製品はBSAが含まれない製品となります。一般的に細胞培養や、ELISAのスタンダードにはBSA含有製品を推奨しています。CF製品はBSAが影響してしまうアプリケーションに推奨されます。

Background: Slit Ligands and ROBO Receptors
: Members of the ROBO family are a group of highly conserved transmembrane glycoproteins that make up a small subgroup of the immunoglobulin (Ig) superfamily. They are characterized structurally by five C2-type Ig-like repeats, three fibronectin type III domains, a transmembrane region, and an intracellular domain with three (ROBO3) or four (ROBO1, 2) CC (conserved cytoplasmic) motifs. ROBO4, a fourth putative family member, has been identified, but lacks one of the three fibronectin-like domains and two of the five Ig-like domains. ROBOs are best known for their roles as receptors for the Slit family of repellent axon guidance cues.
