Nuclear protein in testis (NUT)とは

Nuclear protein in testis (NUT) is a gene that is well known for its chromosomal translocation with proteins in the bromo and extra terminal (BET) family giving rise to NUT midline carcinoma (NMC). The exact role of the NUT protein is unknown, but pre-clinical experiments targeting the BRD4 -NUT fusion oncoprotein in NMC has resulted in squamous differentiation.
