R&D Systems now offers a Human IL-19 Quantikine ELISA Kit (Catalog # D1900 ). Interleukin 19 (IL-19) is a member of the IL-10 family of cytokines. It is upregulated in monocytes, keratinocytes, smooth muscle cells, and airway epithelial cells in response to inflammatory stimulation and promotes the release of other pro-inflammatory factors including IL-1 beta, IL-6, IL-8, and TNF-alpha. Elevated serum levels of IL-19 are associated with conditions such as asthma, uremia, and septic shock.
