R&D Systems is now offering recombinant mouse HVEM/TNFRSF14 (Catalog # 2516-HV ). Herpesvirus entry mediator (HVEM) is a type I transmembrane protein belonging to the TNF receptor superfamily. HVEM is highly expressed on naive, memory, and regulatory T cells where it serves as a receptor for BTLA in the absence of T cell activation, or for the TNF family ligand, LIGHT, following activation. Interrupting BTLA/HVEM interaction promotes intestinal inflammation, while disrupting LIGHT/HVEM binding on activated T cells can ameliorate graft-vs-host disease and Th1-type intestinal inflammation. <table border="0" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="3" style="border: solid thin #0f4b8c;"> <tr> <td><img src="/f_img/RSD/6202.jpg"></td> </tr> <tr> <td style="font-family:verdana;font-size:12px;"><strong>The HVEM Receptor Binds the Ligand BTLA in a Dose-dependent Manner. </strong>Immobilized recombinant mouse HVEM (Catalog # 2516-HV) was combined with increasing amounts of biotinylated recombinant mouse BTLA.
