R&D Systems now offers a Human Multipotent Mesenchymal Stromal Cell Marker Antibody Panel (Catalog # SC017) for flow cytometry. These antibodies allow for the identification of multipotent mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) by analysis of surface antigen expression. MSCs are of great interest because they exhibit multi-lineage differentiation potential and can be isolated from a variety of adult tissues and expanded in vitro . The Human Multipotent MSC Marker Antibody Panel provides several antibodies to simplify MSC identification. It includes monoclonal antibodies against positive MSC cell surface markers Stro-1, CD44, CD90, CD105, CD106, CD146, and CD166, as well as negative markers CD19 and CD45.

| Analysis of Human MSCs by Flow Cytometry. Human MSCs were stained using the indicated anti-human monoclonal antibodies provided in the Human Multipotent Mesenchymal Stromal Cell Marker Antibody Panel (Catalog # SC017; filled histograms) followed by PE-conjugated anti-mouse secondary antibodies (also provided in the kit), or with the appropriate isotype controls (open histograms). |
