Loss of function of p27/Kip1 has been documented in many forms of cancer, and its status has been shown to be an indicator of patient outcomes. The p27/Kip1 IHC Detection Kit includes a specific monoclonal primary antibody that displays excellent immunoreactivity and localization with the p27 antigen in formalin-fixed tissues. Immunohistochemical Detection of p27/Kip1 in Human Prostate Cancer. p27/Kip1 was detected in paraffin-embedded human prostate cancer tissue using the Human p27/Kip1 Immunohistochemistry Detection Kit (Catalog # CTS2256 ). Following staining with anti-human p27/Kip1 monoclonal antibody and biotinylated anti-rat secondary antibody, p27/Kip1 was visualized using Streptavidin-HRP, and DAB Chromogen substrate (all provided in the kit). Tissues were counterstained with hematoxylin (blue).
